We did it!  With your help (Shopping, Volunteering, Donating) the Charlotte ReStore raised over One Million Dollars for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte in the last fiscal year (ending June 30th).  Read the official statement below ...

ReStore operations have just closed the books on fiscal year 2010-2011 and, in light of the current recession, the numbers reveal exciting results.

According to Terry Assad, director of ReStore operations, combined top-line sales generated by the two Charlotte ReStores passed the $3,000,000 mark, an impressive year-over-year gain of nearly 8%. Bottom-line revenues exceeded $1,000,000 for the first time in history.

Such performance places Charlotte ReStores in the top 1% of approximately 700 Habitat ReStores nationwide.

To put the numbers in perspective, enough revenue was generated to build 14 new Habitat houses. The previous high mark for ReStore contributions to the housing ministry was the equivalent of 11 new builds.
In view of Habitat’s expanded services to low-income families, $1,000,000 could serve up to 50 families through a combination of new home construction, buying and rehabbing foreclosed homes, and completing critical repairs to existing homes.

Habitat Charlotte currently operates two ReStores: 1133 N. Wendover Road and 3326 Wilkinson Boulevard.  --Phil Prince, Marketing & Communications Director, Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte
