house-of-booksBooks to Bricks Project

Professional & Youth groups all over Charlotte are joining hands with the Habitat for Humanity Charlotte ReStore and organizing "Books to Bricks" book drives in their orginizations and churches.

Any type of book is fine as long as it is in decent condition. You can donate fiction, non-fiction, children's books, paperbacks, hardcover...even books on tape or CD. No dictionaries or encyclopedias please.

The Charlotte ReStore sells the books at Julia's Coffee & Used Bookstore (1133 N Wendover Rd) at a modest price. All the proceeds are donated to Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte. Last year nine new Habitat homes were funded by the sale of ReStore donations.
