Q: Do you pick up donations?
A: Yes. However, due to the fact that we try to limit costs as much as possible, we reserve pickups for large items such as sofas, appliances, etc. We also only pick up in the city of Charlotte, and certain greater Charlotte areas. Q: Why won't you take furniture with stains?
A: We resell all of the items that are donated to the ReStore, so we cannot accept items that are stained, torn, or broken, because they don't have a resale value.

Q: I have kitchen cabinets I want to donate, but I can't take them out myself. Do you do that?
A: Yes! We have a deconstruction team that will come and take out your cabinets and schedule a pickup. For more information, visit the deconstruction page. 

Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?
A: All donations to the ReStore are tax deductible. We will give you a form to fill out and keep for your records. Please note: by law, we cannot assign a value to the items that you donate. You will need to consult an appraiser, or visit www.irs.gov for more information.
