'Humongous' donation Fills Habtiat ReStores
August 10, 2011 - Charlotte Observer - Habitat for Humanity's Charlotte ReStores have gotten many unusual donations over the years, from a 10,000-volume library to 13 trailers of pourable insulation.  But the nonprofit agency hit the jackpot this week with a donation so big, there's not enough room to display it: 3,840 pieces of furniture from an apartment community.

November 4, 2008 - WSOCTV - A local charity already known for helping families is also helping keep trash out of landfills. Tim Liner shops at the Habitat Restore on Wendover Road in Charlotte. “I come in from time to time looking for things that might fit in my home,” he said. All the items were donated to raise money for Habitat for Humanity to build new homes for families. At the same time, the items are being recycled and reused....
