Our Metal Recycling Program

Did you know we have an Appliance Testing/Metal Recycling Warehouse?

We pick up the used appliances from all over Charlotte, including those we get from large corporate home improvement retail stores.  We then test them, and the appliances that do not work are recycled. Staff* and volunteers take the appliances apart, separating the materials so we get top dollar for each type of metal.

*Our warehouse managers are EPA certified, which means we properly dispose of all refrigerants found in refrigerators and ac units.
