FAQ: Shop PDF Print E-mail

Q: I found an item I like but it's too big to take home today. Can I still buy it?
A:
Yes. Once you purchase your item, we will put a sold sign on it and will hold it for up to 3 business days (5 days for cabinet sets). After that time, a $10 storage fee ($25 for cabinets) will be charged per day. Once the storage fee exceeds the purchase price (or 30 days, whichever comes first), the item will become a donation to the store. Upon request, a tax donation form will be provided.

Q: Can I place an item on hold or layaway?
A:
The ReStore does not put any items on hold or layaway.

Q: How are the items priced?
A:
All items are priced between 40%-75% (and sometimes more!) of the retail value. We try to do research online to make sure the prices are low but fair.

Q: Is the ReStore open to the public?
A: Yes! Check out our Location and Hours page for more information

Q: Where do the proceeds from the sales go?
A:
All of the proceeds go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, to build homes for low-income families in the Charlotte area. Visit the Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte website for more information.
