Volunteers drive the mission of Habitat Charlotte. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with God and families in need.  Since 1983, Habitat Charlotte has been enabling working-class families to help themselves become homeowners.

Volunteer Opportunities

To date, over 1,000 families have been able to realize their dream of safe, affordable homeownership.  The ReStore and Julia’s are an integral part of Habitat Charlotte’s fundraising efforts raising millions for the mission since 1996.  None of this could be accomplished without volunteers.  There are so many ways to get involved with Habitat for Humanity.

ReStore/Julia's Cafe & Books

volmain1restoreThe Charlotte ReStore and Julia's Cafe and Books are great places to help Habitat!  From helping to disassemble appliances at our Metal Recycling Center to learning how to make the perfect espresso at Julia's Cafe, you'll find no shortage of fun and interesting ways to volunteer!   Click here to read about all our ReStore and Julia's volunteer opportunities.

Construction

Other (Habitat Young Professionals, AmeriCorps, El Salvador trips, and more)

volmain4otherHabitat for Humanity has plenty of other ways to get involved:  You can join the Habitat Young Professionals and make new friends while serving your community.  Or you can sign up to serve in the AmeriCorps program where you'll not only give a year of your life to serving your community but you'll gain new skills and make friendships that will last a lifetime.  We also have several opportunities every year to work with our sister-affiliate Habitat El Salvador.  And there are many other unique ways to get involved with Habitat.  Click here to learn more other opportunities to volunteer with Habitat Charlotte.
