It’s Good to be Back

By Corina Patterson

The Charlotte Region ReStores are pleased to announce the Phase 1 reopening of the Wendover and Mooresville locations on Tuesday, May 19! Our new hours of operation for shoppers and for donation drop-offs will be Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Additionally, we are opening Julia’s Café & Books with a new mobile ordering option and will open the books portion of the store for shopping.
Julia’s will operate under the same hours as the Wendover ReStore and shoppers will be able to pay for books at the ReStore.

Like many retailers in our area, we will follow strict social distancing guidelines and enhanced cleaning protocols. Here are enhanced safety procedures we are implementing:

  • Masks are not required, but they are STRONGLY encouraged
  • We will limit the number of customers in the ReStore and Julia’s to 15 family groups at a time, maintaining appropriate social distance throughout the store between customers and staff
  • Family groups must stay together at all times
  • We ask that customers “shop with a purpose,” and not linger in the stores for extended periods
  • Carts, counters, payment processors, and other frequently touched areas will be cleaned every hour
  • PPE will be worn by employees at all times when interacting with customers
  • Cash will be accepted, but credit/debit cards are encouraged
  • Donations will be accepted (no linens, mattresses, or clothing) and cleaned according to CDC guidelines
  • Upholstered and other soft goods (like outdoor cushions) will be quarantined for 72 hours before being moved to sales floor
  • Hard surface merchandise will be cleaned thoroughly before being moved to sales floor

We will continue to monitor and comply with the Governor’s recommendations for retail and hope to reopen more stores as opportunity allows. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time!
